This 24” oil on round birch wood panel is a dynamic landscape of the beautiful trails in Alberta. The reference photo was taken on a trail to Wenkchemna pass and found myself referring back to it for inspiration. I finally decided to follow my heart by painting it on a raw wood panel. For me, this painting speaks to the groundedness nature can have for us and a pathway to a hopeful future.
