I’ve stopped… Using ice cream cups!

This is a pretty simple one, but often overlooked in my opinion. I love ice cream, pretty much anytime of the year and I made the realization last year when I was buying some single scooped ice cream, the option to have it in the cone, was not just a tasty option, but actually a sustainable one! Think of all of the non-degradable ice cream cups you can save from the landfill by eating out of a cone.

Why

Just like soda cups, coffee cups, and other single use cups, ice cream ups have a fine plastic lining that prevents the contents from leaking out. This lining makes it very difficult to separate during the recycling process so they get diverted to landfill.
